This long weekend marks the end of the summer season, which means we will be saying goodbye to many of our summer residents. On behalf of St. Mary’s and the Missions, I would like to wish all of you a safe journey home and a wonderful year.
It is a blessing to have so many summer parishioners because of the witness they offer. While many Catholics take time off from Church in the summer, these parishioners of ours make the effort even when they are on vacation. It is one thing to attend Mass when we have a routine, but it takes a special love for God to come when you are in a new town and only temporarily. It shows the central place God has within their lives and is an encouragement for us.
May we always have a deep love for God in the Blessed Sacrament.
