Last year’s Celebration of Praise was hosted by St. Mary’s Church in Owen Sound, and over 300 people came to pray, sing, and share a meal. This event is organized by the Owen Sound Ministerial Association, a group of Christian pastors and leaders who wish to support one another in the mission of making Jesus known and loved. I’m proud to represent our Catholic community as the Vice-President of the Owen Sound Ministerial. We have been working very hard to prepare another Celebration of Praise which will be held at the First Christian Reformed Church in Owen Sound this Sunday, September 9, at 6:00 pm. The Church is located on 201 4th Ave W. A meal will be prepared and served after the service by our own Knights of Columbus. Please come and support this important gathering. We live in a world that is moving further and further away from God, from Church, and from one another. It is very important for all Christians to witness to a better way of life that is rooted on more than materialistic and self-focused existence. Now, perhaps more than ever, we need to preach Jesus and the power of His love for every person. We need to sing God’s praises, listen to His Sacred Word, and meet Jesus in our neighbours. Celebration of Praise is organized to facilitate precisely that. Please come and help us witness to Jesus in our local community this Sunday at 6:00 pm. I will be there!
